LIVING INNER PEACE™ ARTICLE ON BACK TO BALANCE

What are the symptoms of being overwhelmed and out of balance?
1. Mentally: feeling stressed out, confused and out of control.
2. Physically: feeling lethargic, fatigued.
3. Emotionally: feeling on edge, irritable.
4. Spiritually: feeling lost and uninspired.

What causes us to become overwhelmed and out of balance?
    1.    Fear is one reason. We become fearful about the future and can go into overwhelm because of the unknown. To shift the fear you must give yourself permission to move into truth by asking yourself “What is really true in this moment?” Get out of the future or the past and move into the present moment where all is truly well.
    2.     Chaotic circumstances is another reason. We are not organized in our time and energy, or have not had a chance to get organized. If this is the case for you, read on to find out how to get back in balance.

7 Steps to Get Back to Balance.
You sort things out and focus on joy so that you are giving rather than doing. You must first give yourself permission to be in balance. Sometimes there is too much value placed on productivity that that becomes more important than balance and living from a place of inner peace and joy. And secondly, you must be willing to simply your life. Ask yourself, “What can be removed from my life that would bring me greater peace of mind and greater joy?” Now you are ready to take the following steps to get back in balance:
    1.     Take A FULL DAY OFF and go play to clear you mind. Let go of everything for the moment and breathe. Get centered: Get yourself a good journal and start writing down those things that are important to you. Reconnect with your values, your purpose for being.

    2.     Create an all inclusive “To-Do” list. Remember to add things that make your life whole and complete such as, hosting a dinner party for 5 of your closest friends to stay in touch, or calling to connect with a certain relative, or planning your next vacation.

    3.     Separate that list into 2 parts, your priority “To-Do List,” include those things you consider “play” as a priority, and God’s “To-Do List.” Those things on God’s list are things that need to get done over time but are not a priority, such as cleaning out the closet. Give them to God so that they may be done in divine timing, with grace, ease and in joy. By adding them to a list, this sets forth your intention and willingness to have them accomplished.

    4.     Then prioritize those things on your “To-Do” list.

    5.     Get a large Month-at-a-Glance calendar, one with plenty of writing space. The Put EVERYTHING on your “To-Do” list on that calendar, two days before it is actually due to allow yourself breathing room. With a Monthly view you can see where you have free time, open windows, to plan playful activities which are extremely important!

    6.    Hang your calendar where you will see it often and you will be surprised at how much actually gets done without so much effort.

    7.     Pray and meditate daily on peace, balance and inner guidance. Listen to be inspired to take the actions needed in diving timing. Walk in grace day to day, trusting the process of life fully.
